Emily Makere Broadmore

I've navigated power structures in politics, shifted stakeholder perception in PR, and disrupted New Zealand's literary establishment by launching Folly Journal - a bestselling international publication that was banned by Whitcoulls within hours of reaching shelves.

After a career in parliament as a political advisor, i launched my own public relations consultancy which I exited in 2025, after six years. Alongside my literary work, I support boards and leaders who understand that AI transformation isn't a technology challenge - it's a cultural disruption problem. Most organisations are hiring the wrong people to solve AI integration - technology consultants who understand tools. I understand how to dismantle resistance to enable your people to thrive in an AI enabled work environment.

I was an early voice in championing creativity as the key to unlocking the potential of AI, authoring the playbook AI for Communicators which was distributed throughout New Zealand.

I am a commentator in mainstream newspapers about society and politics, and am currently serving on the board of the New Zealand Society of Authors.

Innovation requires new ways of thinking

We’re one of a kind

I work with a small number of specialists who, like me, have found a niche unexpectedly in AI education and strategy.

This work is so niche. There aren’t many of us doing it. While I slot in at the upfront ‘pre strategy’ end, I can then connect your organisation with business strategists and technical trainers to pick up where our work finishes.
